Goodwood Road Trip 2024 Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions for the Goodwood Revival Road Trip 2024:

 

The following terms and conditions form the basis of a contract with you the client, once the client has completed the booking form and returned it to us together with the relevant deposit and we have acknowledged acceptance to you in writing or by email. 

 

The tour/event price

The price of the tour/event is per person and is listed on the web site. This price is based on two people sharing a bedroom, Single person occupancy is unavailable for this trip. We have the right to increase, decrease or add a surcharge to the price of tour packages at any time.

 

Excluded from the entry fee

The entry fee does not include petrol/fuel, fines of any sort, breakdown costs, or any phone bills or other additional hotel expenses such as drinks, other than those included in the package. It does not include damage caused by you at any venue.

Itineraries:

A provisional itinerary is available on our website. A final itinerary will be issued 2 weeks before we depart. 

 

Acceptance of entries

It is at Our discretion who is chosen to enter, we are not obliged to accept any
applications.

 

Payment

 A non-refundable and non-transferable deposit  is required together with a completed booking form at time of booking. The deposit can be paid via the website. The balance of the cost of the tour/event is payable no later than the date stated on the booking form.  Payment of the balance to be made by bank transfer, our bank account details will be included in your booking email confirmation. In the event that we do not receive the balance of the cost of the tour/event by the due date on your booking form, your booking will be cancelled with your deposit and any optional extras/tickets booked forfeited. 

By paying your deposit, you are agreeing to be bound by our terms & conditions.

 

Final Payment/Confirmation

Your reservation only becomes confirmed when we are in receipt of your final balance payment. Final payment is due by the date indicated on the booking form.

Should we not receive your final balance payment by the due date, we will treat your reservation as being cancelled, which will result in loss off deposit and any optional extras/tickets booked. 

 

Sign On

Drivers and passengers will be required to sign a declaration form when signing onto any tour, indemnifying the organisers for any liability which occurs during the period of the tour. They will also be required to produce a valid driving licence; minimum third party motor insurance certificate, NCT certificate and breakdown cover documentation. 

 

Cancellation by you

All cancellations must be in writing, are non-transferable, and are subject to the cancellation charges detailed on the booking form and will result in loss of deposit and any optional extras/tickets booked. 

A €50.00 per person administration fee will also apply to all cancelled bookings.

 

Cancellation by us

In the event that we are forced to cancel a tour for whatever reason, we will refund 50% of your balance payment only, plus any optional extras/tickets booked where possible, less a £50.00 per person administration fee per booking. Deposits are non-refundable.

 

Passports

A current, valid passport is required by all members in the client's party. We are not aware of any specific visa requirements for EEU citizens but it is the client’s responsibility to check this with the relevant embassy

 

Road Manners

This trip is not a race, or a competition. It is a relaxed driving tour to Goodwood. You must not compete in any manner with other participants. You must drive safely and with proper consideration for all other road users, fellow participants and applicable road laws In Ireland and the UK.  Any reckless driving observed by any participant, team member or the public, will result in immediate exclusion from the event and forfeiture of all activities and monies paid for the trip.

 

Driving

Drivers must not consume alcohol while driving. You must NOT drive under the influence of alcohol or any other intoxicating substance at any time. All participants must not consume any illegal or intoxicating substances at any time during the trip. Any contravention of the above rules will result in immediate exclusion from the event and forfeiture of all activities and monies paid for the trip.

Please do not drive if you are in any way compromised by illness, lack of adequate rest, or any other condition that prevents you from being able to drive.

 

 

Health Insurance 

All clients should be in possession of a current European health insurance card (EHIC). Clients are advised to check with the relevant embassy. 

 

Liability for loss or damage to participant’s cars and property

We are not responsible for damage to participant’s cars or property including when parked in hotel / accommodation  grounds. Participants must also drive sensibly and within the law of the country and under no circumstances can we be held responsible for any damage to cars or property sustained during the tour.

  

Travel Insurance

Clients must have valid and relevant travel insurance covering the cost of cancellation, the cost of assistance, including motor vehicle breakdown and recovery, emergency repatriation in the event of the client’s illness or any member of their party .If you do not take out breakdown recovery insurance you are responsible for the repatriation of your vehicle and passengers and thus agree to indemnify us against any costs that might arise. 

 

Our liability 

We will provide the services we contract with you to a satisfactory standard. We cannot accept liability under any circumstances if you suffer injury or death whilst travelling in a motor vehicle whether or not through your own fault or neglect. 

We do not accept liability where there has been no fault on behalf of ourselves, our staff or associated companies and where the events complained of are due to circumstances which neither we nor our suppliers could have foreseen if all due care had been exercised.

 

Compliance with motor regulations for travel abroad and in the UK.

You must comply with motoring regulations for travel abroad and in the UK and carry the relevant equipment. Information is available from your insurers, the AA and the RAC. 

It is compulsory to have a full current driving licence, car registration document, motor insurance certificate and current NCT certificate. 

 

Supplementary regulations

Tours/events may be subject to supplementary regulations. Where supplementary regulations are necessary, these will be issued to participants at sign on.  

 

Law 

This agreement will be governed by Irish law and subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Irish courts.

 

Participants

All tour/event participants must be 18 years of age or over. No dogs are permitted on this tour.

 

Amendments to these terms

We reserve the right to change these terms and conditions from time to time subject
to notifying you of the changes via email or in person. You shall be deemed to have accepted the amended terms and conditions by your participation and payment.
