Trackdays.ie #TD08 Mondello Park Track Day Image Gallery. November 17th 2017.

#TD08 was our last track day of 2017 and was exactly 1 year on to the very day from our first track day! Amidst a month of pretty lousy weather we were extremely fortunate on Friday 17th to get a dry, bright day. It was absolutely baltic though - on the flip-side, great conditions for making power! With a dry track and the knowledge that this was the last trackday of the year everyone seemed in great form and there was a nice vibe around the paddock and GP suite. For #TD08 we welcomed Autostadt.ie, the German car enthusiasts club, who brought along a selection of very nice Audi's, BMW's, Porsche's and Volkswagen's. We got some excellent feedback from the guys and inviting car clubs and enthusiasts/owners clubs is something we'll be promoting throughout 2018. The morning seemed to fly by with minimal stoppages, which is a credit to you guys and the standard of driving on track. While we're thanking people, myself and the rest of the Trackdays team would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who has supported us over the last 12 months. We've got a great bunch of customers, many of whom have barely missed a track day all year! We will have a loyalty scheme in place for 2018 to give something back. We didn't have any of the Trackdays Civics hired out in the afternoon so myself, Stephen and Kev decided to take the opportunity to go out for a bit of a play ourselves in the hire cars, plus we wanted to get some shots of all 3 cars together on track so it was a great excuse to get out! Here's a quick video, we had camera's in two of the cars. Something else you may have noticed that was a bit out of the ordinary was the very beige, very 70's Ford Cortina out on track. This was owned by a chap called George Karellas. He has a Youtube channel called SOUP (which I highly recommend you check out) George makes incredibly well filmed videos about cars and motoring stuff in general. He's restoring a Lotus Esprit and a Range Rover at the moment. We invited him down to check out a track day and to have a spin in the Civics but he also decided bringing the Cortina out would be a good idea. It won't be out for quite a while but do keep an eye on George's channel, give him a subscribe and a like and some time in the new year you can expect to see a Trackdays feature! We've got lots of ideas and potential things in the pipeline for 2018 such as road runs, classic car track days, single seater days and expanding out online shop to name but a few. We'd love to hear your suggestions and ideas on ways we could either improve or add to the events that Trackdays.ie run. Feel free to post in the comments section below or drop us a quick email to drive@trackdays.ie Don't forget if you want hi-res copies of any images in the gallery below you can contact Adam O'Connor Photography directly for pricing. Also Darran O'Hara from 99RedBalloons can make large scale canvas prints at extremely reasonable prices, so do give the guys a shout. Bookings are now open for #TD09, the first track day of the year on Sunday 4th February. Click here to book your place now! Here's hoping you all have a happy Christmas and new year and we'll see you in 2018!
